IFBB Wellness Pro Renee Jewett talks about how Juiced Aminos are the foundation supplement for muscle growth.

Juiced Aminos: The Foundation for Muscle Growth

You could say amino acids, the building blocks of protein that will lay the foundation for your muscle tissue growth, are pretty important. Everyone from your top-level bodybuilder to your weekend warrior can benefit from this basic staple supplement. There’s a reason such a basic supplement is so widely popular. It’s because the basics work. Dosed with both branched-chained amino acids and essential amino acids, Animal Juiced Aminos delivers a high-quality product to support us in our muscle-building quest.

Branched-chain amino acids, or BCAAs for short, are a group of three essential amino acids: leucine, isoleucine, and valine. A BCAA supplement is commonly taken in order to boost muscle growth and enhance exercise performance.

Essential amino acids, or EAAs for short, are the core of many vital processes. There are nine of these EAAs, three of which are BCAAS, but you must consume the other six EAAs to turn on the protein synthesis machinery. Although EAAs are most recognized for their role in muscle development and repair, our bodies depend on them for much more, including energy production, immune function, and even nutrient absorption.

BCAAs alone have slight benefit; we want the BCAAs and all the other EAAs together. BCAAs without EASs is like peanut butter without the jelly or mac without the cheese. That might be my hungry prep brain talking with those comparisons, but it’s true! While it’s been shown that the three BCAAs can raise protein synthesis up to 22%, they alone do not contain the vital EAAs to maximally stimulate protein synthesis. And let’s be honest, we’re going for maximum muscle growth here. If you want to nerd out and get into the science of it, give John Jewett’s article “BCAAS vs EAAS: Which Is the Key to Muscle Growth?” a read.

When Should I Take Juiced Aminos?

Well, it depends. The main goal across the board is to hit your daily protein intake, so there can be several applications depending on your situation. For example, if you’re an early bird and need to get in that a.m. workout but don’t have time for a full meal, sipping on aminos from the time you wake up and during training would be a good option. If you’re one of those people that needs to put down large amounts of food in order to gain muscle, then having aminos during your training will allow you to squeeze in some of those macronutrients for the day. If you’re like me and go for a long period of time in between your pre-workout meal and your post workout meal, sipping on aminos intra workout can help limit excess muscle damage and begin aiding in the recovery process.

Juiced Aminos, Who Should Take Them?

In short, if you’re an athlete—a bodybuilder, a novice lifter, or an endurance athlete—you can benefit from incorporating both BCAAs and EAAs into your supplement regimen. As bodybuilders we work really hard to build muscle and perform at our best. We want to maximize our growth potential and recovery ability so we can continue to train and perform optimally. That’s where Juiced Aminos come in. Give your body the protein building blocks it needs.
