We often find ourselves wondering about our daily lives—we know that our lives are meant for a greater purpose, but what is our calling? How do we know what our life is meant for? It’s easy to know what your passions are. We all have a passion for something in life. What’s the first thing you think about when you wake up in the morning? What’s the last thing you think about going to bed? What do you constantly think about during the day when nothing else is going on? I can’t stop thinking about being the best bodybuilder I can be and making the greatest positive impact on people’s lives.
Set A Goal
Setting a goal is crucial. It’s not just dreaming of one day achieving what you want; it’s having faith that you will meet a standard that you’ve set for yourself. To achieve a goal, you must raise your standards on a daily basis. You have to change your daily habits and expect more from yourself. You are what you consistently do. If you keep doing the same thing every day, you will continue to get the same result.
Create A Plan
You have to create a plan of action if you want to achieve your goal. Dreaming of becoming an IFBB Pro bodybuilder doesn’t just happen by training in the gym and showing up on show day the same way as you’ve always done before. You have to expect that every time you go to the gym, you will get the most out of every rep, every set, every exercise, every day. You will know when you leave the gym if you gave everything you had or not. Be happy, but never be satisfied.
The goal is set, the plan of action is set, now you just have to finish strong. In anything in life, you have to finish through the plan. There’s absolutely no excuse to stop short of a goal, but don’t stop once you’ve reached the destination. You have to achieve your expectations and then continue to raise your standards. Although you should be happy that you achieved your short term or long term goal, know that once you have achieved what you set out to accomplish, you still have more in the tank to give. That’s how you finish strong and finish through your goals. Little tasks accomplished every day will get you to where you want to go in life.
Stay True To Who You Are
Probably the most difficult thing to do when striving for something great is to not deviate from your core identity and your values. Stay true to who you are. Do not sell your soul to the devil as they say. It’s easy to get caught up in hype and lose sight of what’s really important. Put your morals and ethics in the forefront of your vision. Keep a constant check on who you are and what you are doing. It’s great to strive for a goal, but it’s not worth it if you lose yourself. It may be more difficult and it may take you longer to achieve your goal, but when you do get there, you will be more satisfied knowing you did what was right. Don’t take shortcuts. Give your all to be the best version of you in every aspect of life.
