All Roads Lead Here

Out of many, they are one. Different faces, changing places... From all walks of life, of varied ages and from all over the world. Bodybuilders, powerlifters, strongmen, athletes. Veterans and rookies, pros and bros. Yet despite this great heterogeneity, the mission, the vision is always the same. Knowledge. Iron. Brotherhood. This is the Animal Way and we are all drawn to this hardcore way of life. We live on our own terms. We wage our own battles, between the ears and in the gym. The path has never been easy but we choose to walk it. Willingly. With honor. Like our very own Erik "The House" Fankhouser who competed at the Mr. O. Like those shaved their heads without a thought in show of support, within The Cage.

The Cage. It may mean different things to different people, but it always resonates with those who step within the fence. For Big Al, it's a family reunion. For Aggression, it's an ego check. C. Coronoto find the space to be a home away from home. For Big D, an eye opening experience. HIGA MONSTER performed feats of strength that he will never forget. NickW reminded himself that even in The Cage, he can be nervous. Who would blame him with the audience both within and outside The Cage walls? For each member of the Animal Crew, The Cage represents something different, something new. Yet all are brought together to share in its singular ideals.

Here are the perspectives of some of the people who make The Cage, 2010 in Vegas, what it is...

Big Al: "A family reunion... That's exactly what it feels like when we go to the Mr. Olympia or the Arnold Classic. The ABCs are like little family BBQs, and the big shows are the reunions."

Kuclo: "People from all over always recognize The Cage. How could you miss it?"

NickW: "When I got there, The Cage was already swarming with people looking to bench their bodyweight."

Vinny G: "I met up with G Diesel and naturalguy at Newari Airport for the journey to San Diego, where we met up with Wrath and headed over to the first of four ABC event."

G Diesel: "The festivities at The Cage began with a bang, with an awesome deadlifting showdown between veteran of The Cage Sgt. Rock and brash Jersey rookie and Skiba disciple Big D."

Big D: "Nothing is quite amazing as landing in Vegas for the first time, seeing all the lights, and knowing that you are home for the weekend."

Rage: "As if the Animal Roadtrip wasn't enough we finished off in Sin City, where Animal was getting ready to present The Cage at the Olympia Expo for the first time in years."

HIGA MONSTER: "I had never been to this prestigious event, and it was even more exciting because The Cage was making a comeback to the Olympia Expo..."

C. Coronato: "Home is a place where you feel comfortable. It's a place where you can be yourself and nobody will ask what or why."

Aggression: "Whatever the case, you feel big and strong at your home gym. Once you enter The Cage, all those preconceived notions fly out the window. Now you're a nobody."

naturalguy: "I just got back from the Animal Roadtrip. The Cage and the Olympia ABC at the end of it was an absolutel blast."

Agent O: "Everyone who visited The Cage wanted to know. Was it a new athlete? A new product? A new ad campaign?"
