Listen,
I've been a competitive bodybuilder since the 1980s and I've seen a lot
of things in the business. Some good, some bad. When it comes to
supplements, I've tried just about everything under the sun. I remember
the early liver tabs that gave you gas, foul-tasting egg protein
powders, and a time when Cybergenics was popular. Remember that?
"Packs"
have been around for a long time too. Fact is, the "pack" goes back to
1983 when the Animal Pak was created. Since that time, more
bodybuilders and powerlifters have used Animal Pak than any other training pack. Why?
Because in the 25 years it's been around, it flat out works. I still
rremember when I took my first Animal Pak. Man, it seems like I been
using it forever.
Timing Is Everything Why
does it work? Unlike bars, RTDs, tablets and capsules, packs allow many
different ingredients to be formulated together in a way that works and
makes sense. For example, if you were to put 30 ingredients into a
protein powder or a ready-to-drink, then, all 30 ingredients would be
absorbed at the same time. With today's ingredients, this isn't the
best idea. Some ingredients need to be absorbed later, be
absorbed in a different part of the gut or the body. Throw everything
into your stomach at once, and you'll waste a lot of the ingredients.
With
the pack system, you can combine different ingredients into different
types of pills like tablets, capsules and softgels. You can also use
different types of tablet coatings and capsules to increase or decrease
dissolution. You can even add ingredients to the pill coatings to
enhance bioavailability and protect the ingredients themselves. Bottom
line: Some things you want to deliver right away, into your stomach.
Others, you want in your small intestine or even further down the
pipeline. Only by using a pack system with different types of pills can
you control timing. And timing is about delivering tingredients at the
right time.
Mixin' & Matchin' But
it's not just about the "right time". It's also about the "right
ingredients". Another real advantage is blending. Now you could mix 'n
match your own pills and tablets. And if you know how, more power to ya
bro. Knowledge is power. But if you don't have a Ph.D. in
nutrition and just don't know or have the time to learn all the ins and
outs of supplements and ingredients, packs take the guesswork out of
the equation.
Each pack, from the standard Animal Pak to Animal Flex, contains
everything you need, and nothing you don't. So instead of taking a
dozen different pills from a dozen different supplements, and spending
a shitload on supplements, you just take one or two packs a day. You
want to combine different Animal products together? Hey, no problem
there either. Animal was meant to work together as a system. It's as
easy as 1-2-3.
Takin' It Easy Whether
you take your packs at home, or at the gym, it doesn't matter. Each
pack in individually dosed in clear plastic baggies. Just throw a pack
or two into your pocket or gym bag when you're on the road. In the
lockerroom? Pop a pack and chug it down. Heading to the gym? Pop a
pack. It's a piece a cake, man. It don't get any easier than
that.
So take a pack knowing this: each can is lab
tested. Each pack has ingredients which meet or exceeds label claim. We
guarantee it. Listen, you don't make packs for 25 years unless your
doing something right. And Animal is as right as it gets. So many
Olympia winners and Olympic powerlifters can't be wrong.
But it's not
just the pros who are taking the packs. It's guys like you. Guys like Mike
Devine from Westfield, Massachussetts who writes: "I gave Animal packs
a chance due to your message and views on training of just shut the
fuck up and do it if you really want it. The reason I continue to use
Animal is that I am proud to be an Animal and the fact that your shit
works." Couldn't have said it better myself, Mike.
