The Breach

Animal imagery has been gracing the pages of muscle mags for nearly a decade now, first starting with the prequel ad campaign featuring the likes of Animalpak.com's own Schak among others. Who could forget the early classic, "Cardio Sucks"? The poster of the ad can still be found on gym walls everywhere. It was followed in the early 2000s with what is now an iconic image of Machine in the "Shut Up And Train" ad. That's the ad that started the first major ad campaign for the new Animal brand.

It was followed a few years later with the "Journey" ad campaign, the one that featured Wrath on his 18-week pre-contest journey. Who could forget the insights? The ideas? The motivation? Seventy-two entries later (click here for "The Journey"), the "Iconic" ad campaign launched, to celebrate Animal Pak's 25th birthday and the brand new, award-winning Iconic labels. It is 2009 and we've just implemented the fourth major Animal ad campaign... The Breach.

What is The Breach? Every few months, a brand new, one-of-a-kind painting—a genuine work of commissioned art—will be featured in all the bodybuilding mags like M&F, Muscular Development, Musclemag, Flex and Ironman. To kick off the campaign, the first painting called, "Once More" graced the August '09 issues of MD and IM, along with the September '09 issues of M&F, Flex and MM.

Each painting (print ad) will correspond to a web-based "cel" page, and The Breach is best seen with the print ads and the corresponding web pages. On the corresponding cel pages, on the upper right side, will be a link to a form. For all extras, news and promos associated with The Breach campaign, starting with the new Animal Legacy T-shirt, you'll need to register.
