Deadlifts: Classic, old school mass exercise in which a barbell is lifted off of the ground and pulled to waist level. Involves the lumbars, hamstrings, glutes, mid-back, traps, rear delts, forearms and biceps. One of powerlifting's sacred Big 3.

Delts: Deltoids. Shoulders. Cap. Comprised of three heads: the anterior (front), the medial (side) and the posterior (rear).

Dropset: An intensity technique in which one lowers the weight upon reaching failure so as to continue repping.
